Mary Gregory, Principal of Medical Administrative Solutions, is an ICD-10-CM/PCS and Revenue Cycle coding subject matter expert. Over 20 years ago, Mary embarked on her coding career with Atrium Health Care (formerly Carolina Medical Center)  and has since become a pundit at Inpatient and Outpatient coding.  Her knowledge of IPPS/DRG system engendered a position for her as a trainer at major hospital corporations, such as Community Health Systems (CHS) and Veterans Affairs (VA).  Mary is a highly sought-after trainer who teaches that great coding skills begin with knowing the coding guidelines and becoming skilled in the application of the guidelines  ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and CMS NCCI Edits.

Mary completed her Associates degree in Health Information Management at Central Piedmont Community College. In addition, she has obtained her RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CPC, and CCS‐P. Mary is a Licensed PMCC Instructor and an AHIMA Approved ICD‐10‐CM/PCS Trainer. Students hold her in high regard as an instructor because of her teaching style; she uses her experience and relevant examples to lead engaging discussions and cultivate learning.
